为全面严格落实常态化疫情防控措施，全方位检验第十八届西博会场馆疫情应对的指挥体系、联动机制和处置能力，9月12日下午，四川国际博览集团在中国西部国际博览城3号门门前成功举行了专项疫情防控应急演练。
On September 12, in a bid to strictly implement the epidemic prevention and control measures and examine the command system, linkage mechanism and disposal capacity of the 18th WCIF, SIE successfully held the epidemic prevention and control emergency drill in front of the Hall 3 of the Western China International Expo City.

9月16日上午，以“中国新时代 西部新机遇”为主题的第十八届中国西部国际博览会开幕式暨第十届中国西部国际合作论坛在成都举行。中共中央政治局委员、国务院副总理胡春华致辞并宣布开幕，智利总统皮涅拉通过视频致辞。
On September 16, under the theme of New Era of China, New Opportunities for Western China, the opening ceremony of the 18th WCIF and the 10th Western China International Cooperation Forum was held in Chengdu. Hu Chunhua, member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, delivered a speech and d the opening of the fair, and Sebastian Pinera Echenique, President of the Republic of Chile delivered video remarks.
