On August 12, Yang Qinglong, Party Secretary and Chairman of SIE, met with Gustavo Diaz Hidalgo, Consul-General of Chile in Chengdu. The two sides exchanged views on deepening economic and trade cooperation between Sichuan and Chile through exhibitions and conferences.

Yang Qinglong introduced SIE and the major exhibitions held by SIE in detail, and expressed gratitude to the consulate for its support to the 8th Sichuan Agricultural Expo. SIE will do its best to serve Chile as the guest country of honor at the Sichuan Agricultural Expo. Yang Qinglong pointed out that major opportunities including "Belt and Road" construction, "dual circulation" development pattern, and Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle will greatly promote the exchanges and cooperation between Sichuan and Chile, and SIE is willing to actively build exhibition platforms to facilitate the export of Sichuan-made products and import of Chile-made product.  

Gustavo Diaz Hidalgo said that the Consulate General of Chile in Chengdu will deepen the exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in investment, tourism and culture in the context of the "Belt and Road" initiative, expecting more understanding of and visits to Chile by being the guest country of honor at the Sichuan Agricultural Expo.  

Chen Ke, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of SIE, and relevant personnel from the international cooperation department of SIE and Sichuan International Exhibition Co., Ltd. attended the meeting.
